Bowen Technique consists of a series of specific moves that are made with the fingers and thumbs on muscle and connective tissue, at precise points on the body. Many of these points are on acupuncture channels that help to stimulate energy flow and trigger points that release muscle spasm and ease pain.
The touch is light, and a Bowen move gently disturbs the fascia or connective tissue under the skin. A signal is sent to the brain via the network of nerves, and the brain responds by relaxing the body. From here a series of moves are performed that prompt the body to redress physical imbalances and heal injuries, promoting relief from pain and renewal of energy. Frequent pauses in between the moves give the body time to respond and integrate changes.
A Bowen treatment is gentle, non invasive, and deeply relaxing.
The effects of the treatment address the whole body. It leaves you feeling energised and relaxed with significant changes to the symptoms of illness.
